November 2025 – Volunteering at Moncton Hospital’s Ronald McDonald House Family Room
A few of our Moncton-area team members recently spent time volunteering to cook meals for the 20 families currently using the Moncton Hospital’s Ronald McDonald House Family Room.
They did the full spread — from shopping for ingredients to preparing homemade soups, chili, all the fixin’s, and a few sweet treats — using the kitchen facilities onsite.
The Moncton Family Room offers a warm, supportive space where families can take a break from the stress of hospital life and enjoy the familiar comforts of home. Whether it’s a cup of coffee, a shower, or a hot meal, the Family Room gives parents and caregivers a chance to relax, refresh, and recharge.
At 900 sq. ft., the space includes a kitchen, play area, and cozy lounge with TV and Internet access — all supported by dedicated, compassionate volunteers who help create these small moments of comfort.

November 2025 – BMO Ride for the Cure
My name is Mark; I am a dispensing Optician with Vogue Optical. In my spare time I like to cycle. Like many I picked up biking again when the pandemic hit in 2020.
After about a year of cycling I came across different events that used cycling to raise money for cancer research. Like many my life has been touched by cancer, having lost my father it when I was 22 and he was only 51. Since then more friends and family have been affected by cancer. So it made sense to use something I enjoy doing to help others also affected.
For the last 4 years my fundraising event of choice has been the BMO Ride for Cancer. Thanks to my supporters, including Vogue Optical, I have been able to raise a few thousand dollars to help fight cancer.

August 2025 – Amherst raises money for RMHC in memory of colleague
Vogue Optical Amherst chose the Ronald McDonald House Charities (Atlantic) as our Jean Friday charity. We knew we wanted to donate to a charity that meant something to us as a family.
Last week marked 1 year since we lost our Kimmy💔
When Kim was going through her cancer journey, the Ronald McDonald House in Halifax was very generous to her and her family, and for that we are eternally grateful to them. We knew right away that we wanted to keep her memory alive by trying to make a difference in the lives sick kids, sick adults, as well as the people who go through their journeys with them the way we and her family did with her.
So today, our donation was made in Kim’s memory. $260 from the staff and our lovely Dr. Coté generously agreed to MATCH our donation! In total, $520 was donated from our little Amherst location to help sick patients and their families in the maritimes. That’s enough to cover 2 complete overnight stays for a family in need.😊
Thank you so much to everyone who has been participating in jeans day this summer and making differences in our communities by making donations. My heart is feeling very full, I never expected this little idea to go so far🥹 and I know Kim would be just as grateful and proud. 💜

August 2025 – Free cleaning and adjustments at Grass Roots Nursing Home
We love seeing our staff out in the community. Jolene Wortman-Mutch, manager of our St. George St location (Moncton, NB), recently dropped into Grass Roots Nursing home to adjust and clean residents’ glasses. She even took a pair back to the store to repair and dropped them back off so the resident didn’t have to go long without their glasses.
Jolene has been looking after the clients in Moncton for 37 years. Thanks for all you do Jolene!
August 2025 – Big Winner – Where in the World is Vogue Optical

They needed several trips back and forth with boxes, bags, totes and lots of surprises for the Toys for Tots Donation box .

The Ocean 100 Toys for Tots campaign in PEI is nearing an end, and thanks to them, there will be many children of all ages receiving exciting gifts under the tree this Christmas time.

The holiday season is a magical time, especially for children. The joy, laughter, and festive spirit that children bring to the holidays are truly special.

Vogue Optical has been a proud sponsor of many theatrical productions at the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Hometown Heroes
To honour the many businesses that went above and beyond during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vogue Optical launched Hometown Heroes. Residents from Ontario, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island nominated a local business that went the extra mile for their community.
A prize was then awarded to a business in each of those provinces as a thank-you for their generosity during an uncertain and unprecedented time. All nominated businesses were also featured on the Vogue Optical website.
Atlantic Balloon Fiesta
For three days every September, the Sussex, New Brunswick sky fills with colorful hot air balloons. Vogue Optical proudly sponsored the Atlantic Balloon Fiesta in 2023 and were thrilled to be part of such a fantastic local event.
