Daily Disposable Contact Lenses
Daily disposable contact lenses offer superb convenience and no lens care – just wear them once and throw them away.
Opticians believe daily disposables are the healthiest contact lenses for your eyes as your lenses are always new, so there is no build-up of harmful deposits. Great for allergy sufferers—there are no solutions for cleaning or storage which can trigger allergy problems.
Daily disposable lenses can now correct a wide range of prescriptions, from standard myopia through to torics for astigmatism, multifocal dailies and colored. Single-use lenses are now available in silicone hydrogel materials, offering you the best of both worlds with 5x the breathability, combined with ultimate convenience.
Toric/Astigmatism Contact Lenses
Toric contact lenses are designed to correct astigmatism in your prescription. Advances in lens technology have resulted in lenses that can not only correct your vision to a very high standard but also provide superb comfort and stability of vision.
Toric lenses now come in new material to help with dry eyes, like Proclear Torics, and are even available in daily toric lenses for the ultimate convenience.
Coloured Contact Lenses
Coloured contact lenses are designed to correct your vision and change your eye colour.
Colours available today are very natural, with opaque lenses designed for darker eyes and enhancers for lighter coloured eyes. If you don’t wear glasses, don’t worry! You can order coloured lenses in zero power so that you can still change the colour of your eyes to any colour you want.
Silicone Hydrogel Contact Lenses
The new generation of ‘super oxygen permeable’ silicone hydrogel contact lenses can transmit six to seven times more oxygen through to your eye than conventional soft contact lenses, so are much healthier for your eyes.
Silicone contact lenses contain less water than conventional soft lenses, so are less prone to drying out, are more resistant to protein deposits and have easier handling due to the greater rigidity of the lenses.
Monthly Disposable Contact Lenses
Monthly contact lenses now come in a wide variety of materials and powers to suit most customers’ requirements. Monthly lenses are designed to be worn for up to 30 days and removed, cleaned, and stored in contact lens solution each night.
Silicone hydrogel contact lenses can now correct astigmatism and are available for full continuous wear as well as daily disposables and standard monthly wear lenses.
Multifocal Contact Lenses
Multifocal contact lenses are a great option for those customers who now need reading glasses over their contact lenses to help them with close work. Now both distance and near vision are corrected in the one contact lens, in a similar way to bifocal glasses.
For true convenience, multifocal contact lenses now come as a daily progressive lens so that you can wear them once and throw them away.
Will multifocal contact lenses work for me? Most people who try multifocal contact lenses are happy with them. But some compromises may be necessary when you wear these lenses. For example, your distance vision with multifocal contact lenses may not seem clear enough, or you may have troubles with glare at night or not being able to see small print.
In some cases, a better solution for presbyopia may be a monovision or modified monovision fitting of regular (“single vision”) contact lenses.
In monovision, you wear a single vision contact lens on one eye for your distance vision and a single vision contact lens on the other eye that has a prescription for your near vision. In modified monovision, you wear a single vision “distance lens” on one eye and a multifocal contact lens on the other eye to help you see better up close.
